Iscala sos Oggiastros (Baunei), as well as Iscala sos Udulos, is not a real via ferrata, but it is an equipped route that in the past was used by shepherds in order to overcome the high walls of Punta Giradili. The shepherds themselves had installed iron bars and had built several scal'e fustes and walkways to overcome the most difficult stretches; the old works have been recently consolidated by placing a steel cable alongside the old bars. It is therefore an exciting hybrid route between a traditional iscala and a via ferrata, with an indescribable panorama in which the gaze is lost between the high walls and the sea.
