mines into the blue

It is an excursion on the south-western wild coasts that is  considered a classic of Sardinia nowadays. We will walk suspended above the sea through paths and ancient mining mule tracks immersed in a lush Mediterranean vegetation. From the top of the vertical limestone walls, the gaze goes far to the islands of San Pietro and Sant'Antioco and to the nearby islet Pan di Zucchero. Halfway through the route you descent the Grand Canal cove where  you can freshen up  with a nice swim in summer. On the route of an ancient railway you will reach the beautiful beach of Cala Domestica where another swim awaits us before visiting the eighteenth-century tower built in order to defend the coast.
